If I knew back then...

Dear Meri:

You shouldn't worry about high school, it's not that bad. Of course it's a big change because your old class was like your home and you had only three classmates but now you'll share six hours a day with almost thirty mates, so you have to fit in.

The first thing you have to do is be yourself and show to other people your really "you". Don't be afraid of what people say because it doesn't matter, you're better than this. However, I know the high school can be horrible when you're in second or third grade and it's difficult to ignore what your mates say. In spite of this, you have to be strong and struggle to get your own goals.

Maybe you're not aware about how real life is, but I can swear to you that things are really hard o achieve and you'll need twenty-five hours all days, so you'll work hard.

My advice for you is this: start now being successful, be focused on what really matters and live your life with your friends. Yet  the most important thing will be your mood, smile as much as you cand, everything improves a lot with a smiling face

With love,

Meritxell Romans.

My English competence in 2014

Well, I've done a lot of posts during this two years so it's so difficult to choose the best one, in part because all of them are made by me but I think I always have preferences. Anyway, I have to choose the best writing and the best podcast, so here I go!

My best oral evidence is this one
My best written evidence is this one

I chose this posts because I think they are the best ones, Also have been chosen these because they represent important issues for me, I mean, I can write about the weather but is much better to write about trending topics like money or education. In addition I've done this posts as good as I could and I want to show my hard work. And I'm going to give arguments to justify my opinion:

First of all I want to say that in my point of view these are the best, the most complete and they spoke about a real current topics. They have a good structure separate with points, questions or paragraphs according to the ideas. I argued my points of view as well as I could with the best arguments I could imagine. I think my explanation of real facts was complete and objective and my way to give my opinion was the best I could use. Also, I tried to use many connectors and link the ideas between different paragraphs. However, If should have put more connectors and the posts had improved so much. Everything I can see in this posts is at least correct.

Secondly, I believe my way to explain my point of view shows my maturity and it's so important because to do a good writing you have to know what are you speaking about and can defend your opinion with your words. I started both with a short introduction and I put my conclusion in both too, I think the conclusion is a vital part of writings. I tried to think about everything people could say to refuse my ideas so I improved my way to express my opinion. I'm so critical with what I'm against of, I mean, If I believe something, I will defend what I believe.

About grammar... YES, I tried to use everything I know but letting the imagination flow, I used modals, conditionals and all tenses I though when I was writing. I checked my mistakes and my structures but I think I've done these posts as good as I could. Maybe what I really need is go to London this summer and learn everything I can.

Speaking about vocabulary, I tried to use special and sophisticated words but I think I failed in this issue because I need to learn and remember new words an synonyms and learn how to use phrasal verbs as common and natural words. My speaking is not the best one and I'm so conscious of it but I'll keep working on it and I'll see if in the future I'll be able to keep a flown conversation without get my tongue-tied.

To conclude, I want to say that I'll keep working on my English level and I'll try to improve it day by day, step by step. In the future I want to be able to go to London on my own and do my life there.

(OMG it's the last post.. I can't believe that! I think I'll miss have a place to express myself. XOXOXO dear blog!!!)

My English progress from 2012-2014

Now is time to see my improvement into two years so I have to put my first composition of forth of ESO, it was about cats and I think it have almost one hundred or one hundred and twenty words, while I'm writting more than two hundred and fifty words when I'm speaking about something I like to.

Here is my first post!
I can't believe everything had changed that much, my point of view, my life, my free time and as you can see my english level!

Here you can see my best work!
I did this post after see Pearl Harbor and I tried to inspire me with the film. I'n my opinion it worked because I like the result I had. Here, as you can see my english level increased a lot since 2012.

OhMyGod I knew my pronunciation was bad, but I didn't believe it could be that bad, I mean I spoke like I was a fool and the worst part is that I though I did it great..
You can see my "awesome" pronunciation here
Two years later, I know my pronunciation is not the best one but I improved it a lot, I can understand e
English people while they're speaking, it's not easy because they speak so fast but I understand almost everything, but my pronunciation... mhh... It should be better and I know it. Here you can see my last podcast ( It was the last one I've done, but there are more of them with the last posts).

Well, now that you can check my old and new posts, it's time to comment it.

First of all I have to say that they're only one thing in common and it's that I've done it both on my own, but the rest are totally different. The most visible change is the number of words I used in the first post and the number of words I'm using right now. I can manage a composition with three or four hundred and do it better than okay. The structure of my posts also has changed because now it has sense and you understand what I want to say, while when I was in forth of ESO I wanted to say many things but no one understood what I was speaking about because I didn't know how to structure my ideas and sentences.
As we hear in the podcast, when I was fifteen years old I had a different voice, I sounded like a little scared girl and I was so embarrassed when I had to speak in English in front of the class, but now I don't care what people say.

Giving linguistic arguments, when I was fifteen I didn't even know what was a discussion essay, an opinion essay, a formal letter.. I just wrote what I wanted. I didn't know many connectors so I always used the same ones, and my vocabulary was poor, repetitive, and if it was not enough, I used it as bad as it was possible. I though it was great, but I didn't know that connectors as "moreover, however or furthermore" existed.
As I said before, I just wrote what I though it was interesting to be written, I didn't do introductions or explanations or divide ideas into paragraphs.
What I have to say in my defense is that I was more mature than other same age girls, when I was inspired I spoke about interesting things and I tried to do it easy to read and I think I wrote that posts because I just needed to get that feelings out of my system.
My grammar was the poorest thing, I didn't know many verb tenses, I just used present and past simple because it was what I knew. My structures were the simplest and I used always the same one. I don't want to check my mistakes because I'm afraid of what I will find there, maybe past should stay there, in the past.
My vocabulary, well my posts had one hundred words more or less but they are always the same ones, I had no variety and I didn't know synonyms of that words.

I can see a BIG PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT, I mean I grow up doing this blog and I posted my feelings and my problems here, maybe they were silly problems and maybe I shouldn't have written what I have written about, but now it's done. Now I feel more mature and more comprehensive that I used to be, life change everyone!

My explanation

Well, two months ago I began to think obsessively about Selectivity and the mark I need to achieve my goals. Then I began to work so hard in all my subjects because I really want to do the medicine degree next year, so I started to do other years selectivity exams.
To practice English I searched exams and I started to do writings, readings and listenings in my spare time. So I began to do the third term blog and I was out of ideas, I didn't know what to talk about in my post and it's so weird in me, I mean I'm always talking and I usually have something to say but I suppose that work that hard blocked my imagination, maybe I'm too tired to have something special to do.
As I can't do this type of excuse I did what I always do, look for a solution and I find this solution, put all my writings here as a "your-says". I know this isn't the best kind of solution but it's what I have.

I usually withstand the pressure but I don't know what's happening to me. I block in the exams, I do fool failures, my mind goes black despite having studied... I can't understand what's happening to me and why it's happening now...I struggled a lot to be where I am and I won't lose everything I've been fighting for for years.

I don't want to grasp myself and I know I have to follow with my exams, It's so hard just right now but I won't give up, it's less than a month for the selectivity I will continue studying hard and working hard to achieve my dream.

It's only my explanation because it's strange on me, do this type of posts and don't speak my life, my goals, my dreams or my routines, but I just don't want to do anything now, just want to get the selectivity, have a good mark and can live my life, can go out with friends. I don't know, maybe I'm just so stressed and overwhelmed, I just need calm.

Opinion essay

Nowadays, due to environmental awareness many people have decided not to eat either fish or meat. Not only for their own benefits but also for the benefit of the planet. This decision has both good and bad points.

On the one hand, not eating this kind of food may save lots of animals. In the current world, exploitation is a common topic in the news. Refusing to reduce the amount of fish and meat we eat does not help the situation. Animal exploitation can be a big issue with potentially negative future consequences. Acting in an unsustainable way puts natural resources, in this case fish and meat, in danger.
As an anecdotic fact, some recent research shows that some of the healthiest people in the world is an Asian tribe that do not eat meat at all.

But on the other hand, it is also true that meat and fish give us energy and proteins that can only be provided by them. Children, for instance, need all these kinds of proteins to grow and handle the active life they have: studying, playing, doing sport, and so on.
In this case, to stop eating these foods can harm their intellectual level and health.

Overall, we can say that there is not one unique good reason for this decision. It is not either one thing or the other. We should find the balance between not eating meat and fish at all and an abusive consumption. I believe that this decision must be made in order to improve both your health and the whole world.

"People who don't recycle their rubbish should be fined?" - Opinion essay

Many people think that be fined it's a good idea, whereas I think it should be checked for verification because it seems to me that it may not be the best solution.
Some people think that a fine is the best idea because it would help to raise money for the environment but in my point of view we need to spend more money on environmental causes in order to save our planet. Apart from that, some people say that population don't recycle because it is too difficult and they propose to facilitate recycling. I disagree with the statement, I believe it is clear that the people don't recycle for laziness, what is more I think that everybody have been educated for do it in one or another moment in their lives. The only reason that makes me think that the fines could be effective is the fact that anybody want to spend their money in this stuff.

In short, I give my support to the initiative since we can only know if it's effective if we put it into practice, but I strongly believe that it will be a flop. We should think in more solutions.

"What are the advantages and disadvantages of school uniforms?" - Discussion essay

Currently the students who study in public schools never wear uniform. Many parents decide to take their children to private schools because they believe that teaching and the education they give is better and many times is obligatory to wear uniforms.
One advantage of go to schools where the students have to wear uniform is that it make everybody feel equal and for this reason can reduce bullying. Furthermore they are smart and they make a good impression.
On the other hand, this schools stop the expression of creativity in children and teenagers, then normally the students have a difficult time finding their personality outside of school. For younger students, who often play on the playground, uniforms are uncomfortable and too formal.
Many people think this type of schools and costumes are for rich people, but I think that it should be for all the schools because it would reduce investments in shopping and any student would be judged by their appearance.

To conclude I want to say that it shouldn't matter what we wear, what it should matters is the way we are.

Florida - Teens in adult justice system

Summary:

More than ninety percent of children in the state of Florida are prosecuted as adult. Teenagers are prosecuted as an adult since fifteen years old, for rob a car, of shoplifting but they don't understand the rules or what's happening. Because of be judged by adult system they will lose a lot of job opportunities and many rights for something they did when they were 15 or 16.

What about your country or another country? Is the situation different?

It's internationally known that our court system is not the best one and we have problems with our judges but our system protect teenage people. It doesn't matter what they do, they protect them, because after all they are teenagers. People can change over time but they won't have any opportunity to be a better person if we tag them with the label of  "criminal" or "thief" because the society will judge them. So yes, this situation is different in my country, when you're under eighteen and you commit a crime you has to go to the reformatory or a jail for teenagers, not to the prison.

Can we as an individual/group take any action to change the situation?
I  believe we can do nothing individually, if we want to help Florida teenagers we have to do a big group and make pressure on the Florida government, it's the only way to make that teenagers future better, because they should have a the right of change who they were for who they want to be.

The host - Book review

Written by Stephenie Meyer, the writer of the Twilight Saga, The Host is one of the most wonderful stories you can come across with in the library or bookshop. It tells the adventures of a soul, which is like an alien from an outer space society that has invaded the Earth, and a group of humans who are trying to survive.
This soul, Wanderer, is not a normal one: she is against the conquest of the blue planet. Soon she discovers that in her body there are two characters: the human, Melanie Stryder, and the alien. They try to survive living together in the same body while they get involved in the human’s fight against the invaders. Wanderer and Melanie fall in love with the same boy, developing an unusual love triangle which has to get over the conflicts the Earth’s occupation by the invisible aliens causes.
The Host is an unforgettable novel about the strength of love and the strong feeling of humanity. It’s an unpredictable story of family, loyalty and faith that I highly recommend because of its excellent story line and writing.

Nigeria abductions: Michelle Obama to deliver address

US First Lady Michelle Obama is to deliver her husband's weekly presidential address to condemn last month's abduction of Nigerian girls

5 words I didn't know:

address - discurs
abduction - segrest
refrain . abstendre's
seized - capturat
outrage - indignació

Summary

Michelle Obama did her husband weekly presidential address because she's outraged by the Nigerian girls abduction. She's the first First Lady who spoke in the address, normally she's refrain. She did a call to action to people around the world, to encourage them to fight for their birthrights. When the girls were seized the First Lady tweeted a picture of herself with the message of bring back the abduction girls. Now the U.S.A and the Amnesty International are having problems with Nigeria's government.

Personal Opinion:
Well, as we can see the rights violation are more present than we think. How people can kidnap more than two hundred girls? I can't understand how people can be that heartless, I mean, the girls were teenagers, they went to school to learn and have something to fight with, in the future; because knowledge is the best weapon you can have.
Nigerian girls should be released just right now, nobody has the right to control the life of another person in this way.

Sarajevo's iconic war-bombed city hall re-opens

Sarajevo's city hall - housing the national library - has been re-opened - 22 years after it was destroyed by shelling during the Bosnian War.

5 Words I didn't know:

iconic - emblemàtic
siege - setge
city hall - ajuntament
quarter - barri
manuscripts - manuscrits

Summary:

The iconic building was restored and it's reopened twenty two years after the Bosnian Serb siege. The city hall was full of old books and important manuscripts, which was all of them destroyed when the building began to burn.  The city hall was also the national library and it's in the old Turkish quarter.

Peronal opinion:
Since I can remember I'm against wars, but one of the stuff I hate is the destruction of old important documents and books. In the course of the history we've lost a lot of knowledge because of the wars. Maybe we all should learn to deal our problems with words, not with violence. We could be a much more developed society, If we hadn't destroyed the knowledge of smart people in the past, we might know things that we're ignoring just right now.
I believe it's time to stop this way of living and find another one.

In front of the war...

When I was a child, I used to seat near the fireplace with my grandfather. He often told me tales of his youth. I remember one time in a cold winter; I was falling sleep in the sofa when he started to tell me another tale…
Once upon a time when I was twenty and I was living in London, I had known a rich family which had a gorgeous daughter. Her name was Eloise. She was the prettiest girl a man can see. Eloise wanted to be a doctor and help the injured soldiers in the Second World War. She had a very strong vocation, but this for her father wasn't important, he wanted her daughter to marry a rich business man from New York and to be the housewife. Eloise was disheartened; she wanted to decide about her own life. She wanted to be a doctor and help in the hospitals in Poland where was taking place the Second World War. I didn't know that I was going to meet her one day.
One day I was walking with a pile of papers near King’s Cross Station when suddenly I crashed with someone, I started to collect the papers which had fallen and I watched to the stranger, she was a really beautiful girl. Then I said:
-          What’s your name?
-          Eloise, Eloise Clowes, and you sir...?
-          Rowley, Mark Rowley.
-          OK Mark Rowley, will you return me the handkerchief that you took with your papers?
-          Oh, I’m sorry, here you are. – I took not wanting to her handkerchief and when I noticed, well she told me that, I blushed and she smiled. I had fallen in love.
I thought that we weren't ever going to meet again, so I tried to forget this meeting. The days passed and I was called to the army for going to Poland and help the war-injured soldiers. At that time I was working at the St Ann’s hospital, I was the principal pediatrician although I was only 25 years old. I was leaving to Poland in a half year.
Six months later I was in the boat on the way to France for later going to Poland by train. In the boat I was in a cabin with an Irish man and the cabin next ours was occupied by two women judging the voice. I decided to go there and introduce myself; my surprise was that one of the women was Eloise Clowes, the girl in the train station. She was also surprised and I didn’t remember that girl so beautiful.
-          Mark it’s you! – She started
-          Yes I am. It’s good you remember me, Miss Clowes. – I said shy.
-          Please call me Eloise, and what are you doing here? Are you travelling?
-          No, I am not, Eloise – I blushed. – I’m going to France to catch a train to Poland; I’ll be working in a hospital because of the war.
-          I am going to Poland too; I have run away from my family, I did not want to marry Paul Duval, the business man… I wanted to be a nurse or a doctor in the war hospital, so I enlisted myself here.
The days passed, Eloise and I traveled to Poland together. We were posted in the same Hospital, so our relation grew up easily. We fell in love in the war, in the middle of a disaster bore a little hope. Those days in Poland were so hard, but when the war finished, we decided to get married and form a family, we moved to a little village in Italy and there started all again.
…And here you have the love story of your grandparents…

Meri.

This post is inspired by Pearl Harbor, I loved that story and the film as well.

Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to ask you for details about your summer courses that I saw advertised on the newspaper.

I am a member of the Adventure Club of my school because I love nature and sports. As I am the guide of the excursions I have experience on hiking, rafting and canyoneering. I would like to attend to the camps this summer so that I can improve my abilities. I would like to study something related to this kind of activities so this summer courses would be a great experience.

I would be interested in knowing if I need to bring special equipment for the activities. Could you please confirm that the price includes the cost of log cabins? Since I am not really good at horse riding, I would like to know if there are some instructors in order to help people who don’t know how to ride a horse. I would like to know how many people would stay in each tent or log.
I would also be grateful if you could confirm how to register to the courses and if it is possible to register by email.

Thank you very much for your help.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours faithfully,

Crown of midnight

Summary

Celaena Sardothien, the king's champion and "the murderer of Adarlan" is the main character. Her job consists on kill people whose are against the king, but she doesn't kill them, Celaena helps them to scape.
In the first book she had a relationship (or something like that) with Dorian, but in the end of the book they broken up.
Celaena's current job is kill Archer, an old friend who knew her past. The same person who killed her best friend (Her only friend) Nehemia, the princess of Eyllwe.
It's a little hard to summarize more than four hundred pages and important things of first book because there were clues and important information to understand what is happening every second.
The most important thing happen at the end of the book, Celaena fell in love with Chaol, the captain's guard. She's sent to Wendlyn, her mother's kingdom. She's the lost queen of Terrasen, Aelin Galanthynius. She knows the power of the king with the Wyrdmarks and she's the only one who can be able to start a war against him and possibly win it.

Personal opinion:

This book was so special for me because so different, it's totally opposite to love stories books, it happened a few centuries ago, more or less in the second or third century in a parallel world, in Erilea, Adarlan. I loved the story because it's full of secrets, big important secrets like the name of the main character is not the real one. The king of Adarlan have a big power but we don't know what an how Dorian (the prince) has magic although it's forbidden.
I'll recommend this book to people who love fantasy and weird things, different worlds. People who have a big imagination and big dreams

Superstitions

Superstitions are all around us. They sometimes guide our lives. Here, in Spain, one of the most believed superstitions is the one that says that breaking a mirror can bring you seven years of bad luck.
There are arguments for and against this general beliefs. Some people think that they are true while others believe they are lies. On the one hand, sometimes superstitions fulfill and that’s why society trusts in them. This faith probably started when, for example, a person after breaking a mirror, had bad luck for some time.
On the other hand, we can’t pretend that they decide how we have to behave. There are people, especially the elderly, who try to avoid some objects or animals which have unlucky connotations. For example, when there’s a ladder against a wall, they don’t walk under it.

It seems to me that some of the superstitions we know are true, but we must learn to live without them in our minds.
There are lots of superstitions but anybody can affirm that one of them is true because it's not a science, it's only a speculation of skeptical people. You can be skeptical or you can live your life the way you prefer.

Be with me - Jennifer L. Armentrout

Summary:

Teresa, the main character and Cam's sister was an amazing dancer until she was injured. Since then, her life changed and she had to change her future plans.
She started an education degree at the same university as her brother and of course Jase were.
Jase's one of Cam's best friends and Teresa secret love. Tess loved him since they met a year before.
Jase and Tess start a love story but the situation's complicated for both of them and their insecurities separate them slowly but when Jase confessed to Tess that little Jack is his son, not his brother, he broken up with her.
Some weeks later, Tess's almost murdered by Erik, her roommate ex-boyfriend and Jase's can't get away from Tess for longer. So, after all, he wants her and they back together.

Personal opinion:

I loved this book when I read it, because you know that Jase has a big secret but you can't imagine what can be till the end of the book. If you read the first book you also know that Tess has a weird past and that something's happening between Erik and Tess's roommate.
Also I felt in love with the whole story, I mean, is not the typical one where everyone's happy and everything is cool. I don't want to read fairy tales, I prefer more realistic things and find a character that I could feel identified. Here I feel so identified with Tess mood because when she wants something she struggle for it and she accepts her fate because in her point of view, she decides her fate.

Interview with a career expert on your interest

I have a passion known by many people. I want desperately to be a doctor. It has been my dream for years and I'm struggling so hard to achieve my goals.
I've done this interview to a doctor called Angel Cuquerella Fuentes. Coroner IMLC. Forensic psychologist. Psychotherapist. He said it was a little hard to answer my questions because he use to read articles in English but not write in this language. So I'll thankful for the time he spent answering my questions.

Good morning sir.

I would make you some questions about your career. That's important for me because next year I want to do the medical degree and it would be useful to know some things I'm worry about.

1. It is said that this degree is the hardest one, that you haven't social life. It's true that you haven't time to do anything else?

It’s wrong. I think that it’s better to spend your study time and others (friends, family, videogames, so on.) in a regulated manner. Surely, you will not have a lot of time, so,  you must to take advantage of it.

2. What was the first thing you thought the first time you get in the surgery? How was your reaction?

All the pieces, all the organs are similar. Inside the body, all the surfaces are cinnamon-coloured. The human body is a puzzle, and we must to find what is the damaged piece and repair it.
3. What's the best thing in your career? What's the most rewarding thing at the end of the day?

The best thing was to observe directly the death in front of your eyes. Nevertheless, any special feel about it. It was different. I have to explain that I’m working in the forensic medicine.
Actually, the most rewarding thing? It’s to understand inside the criminal mind, why they do all that they do, every time. Second explanation: I’m also forensic psychologist.
4. What's the worst thing in your career?

It’s to autopsy a young corpse over the practice table, recently death and still keeping the warmth, with  similar age from my children.

5.Why did you choose medicine?

Because at earlier age (perhaps, when I was 8) I discovered and opened the little  mammalian corpses in the street, to observe inside it. It was fascinating...
6.What were your goals when you went into the medicine world?

The secondary goals were to save patients, especially, my grandfather (he suffered two heart attacks) but really, I was fascinated to explain, when the patient death, what was the primary cause, looking inside her or his body. The crime scene, also, are the best lab to study mental drives and criminal profiling.
7.What do you think about the entry of foreign doctors in the social security system?

It’s an incentive to improve a better level in the medical career. In “secondary” countries, we can find good level in medicine, for example, and an urge to survive looking for resources in first sector countries.

8.In the current years there are many cuts in education and health. Do you think this affect to the number of saved people in hospitals?

Of course, indirectly. Education and health are bad business and actually, they used the selected victims for the public administration, to reduce his/her public expenditures.
9. What's your opinion about public and private medicine? Do you think their services are too different? What would be your advice for families, use social or private services?

Both. A lot of private doctors, in Spain, work also in the public administration. Is a regular income generation!
10.What do you think is the most important that a new doctor should know to be a good doctor in the future?

To listen his/her patients and translate to him/her an emotional bond. Good and affective words save more than medical devices or pharmacology.

Thank you for your time sir.

Dr. M. Sandel: What money can't buy. The moral limits of markets.

1.Should we pay children  to read books or to get good grades?
2..Is it ethical to pay people to rest risky new drugs?
3.Should give cash incentives to people to donate their organs?
4.Should we hire mercenaries (private military) to fight our wars?
5.What shouldn't money be able to buy?

Waw.. First of all I have to say this video shocked me a lot, I mean, I knew money was the most important thing in our world, but I never thought that it could be that bad. I can't understand how people could be that heartless.

1. Pay children to read is the end of education system, here, in the U.S.A or in Rome. A child needs to learn for himself, he needs to read to learn and afterwards be an educated person, know historical things and have more vocabulary, but we can't control their mind doing this type of positive reinforcement because we're creating a bad linking between money (incentive) with the last fact, read (answer). They read and it's great, but they have to do it because they have a passion to find out new things in life, if they are not passionate with the world now, when will they be?

2. Well.. I think that someone has to be the first one, medicine needs to carry on and I think that it's acceptable when a person is in the terminal phase of a disease and he has no other solution he can't lose nothing so... why not? What happen if it works, then it's not a problem? I'm speaking about medical drugs because its are the best one, the other types are losing the race against medicine and its applications.

3. Of course not, never in a million years. I'm saying this drastic negative to protect the receiver because if he pay he would feel he's in debt with the donor, because an organ that saved your live can't be paid, because it has no price, and the donor safe his life.  Soon after the remorse would begin and the patient couldn't be able to live in peace again.

4. I'm not into this world but I've been against wars for years, and I'm still against the way two sides kill each other.  However, worst than civil people fighting against each other are mercenaries. Mercenaries kill people for money, they're not fighting for they principles, they're there because they like to be a murderer, and it's something I can't understand.

5. In the society we live I should say we can buy everything with money, we can buy a house, a son, a couple, a heart, things we shouldn't be able to buy. I won't say we can't buy love because someone could put the example of a couple formed by a pretty girl in her twenties with an old rich man that could be my grandfather. But there's something people couldn't buy yet. Health. It can't be bought, if you have a strong deep cancer or AIDS or another strange disease, you won't keep alive. I think the most important things shouldn't be bought.

To conclude, maybe people should start to think in what really matters because money comes and goes but there are things that don't return when they have gone.

Samsung ordered to pay Apple $119.6m

Samsung has been ordered to pay $119.6m (£71m) to Apple by a US court for infringing two of its patents.

5 words I didn't know:

Ordered - condemnat
Had sought - havia sol·licitat
Wrongdoing - acusació, ofensa
Outcome - resultat
Amount - quantitat

Summary:

A jury in California ordered Samsung to pay much money because the company was infringing some of its patents. In spite of this, the outcome is not a big victory to Apple because it had sought more money, almost a 90%.
The amount is not so much, but it's enough to see the fight between Samsung and Apple is not over.

Personal opinion:

It is said that Samsung copied Apple patents and applications since 2010. This fight lasts more than we could ever expect. However, it must be said that I have an "Iphone" and I wouldn't change it for another phone, Samsung, LG, or anyone, so obviously here I can't be impartial.
Samsung cell phones and devices are good and they have awesome cameras and applications. In spite of this, they can't compete against Apple because Apple protects your devices and if you have any problem the company will solve it or repair your device.
