Florida - Teens in adult justice system

Summary:

More than ninety percent of children in the state of Florida are prosecuted as adult. Teenagers are prosecuted as an adult since fifteen years old, for rob a car, of shoplifting but they don't understand the rules or what's happening. Because of be judged by adult system they will lose a lot of job opportunities and many rights for something they did when they were 15 or 16.

What about your country or another country? Is the situation different?

It's internationally known that our court system is not the best one and we have problems with our judges but our system protect teenage people. It doesn't matter what they do, they protect them, because after all they are teenagers. People can change over time but they won't have any opportunity to be a better person if we tag them with the label of  "criminal" or "thief" because the society will judge them. So yes, this situation is different in my country, when you're under eighteen and you commit a crime you has to go to the reformatory or a jail for teenagers, not to the prison.

Can we as an individual/group take any action to change the situation?
I  believe we can do nothing individually, if we want to help Florida teenagers we have to do a big group and make pressure on the Florida government, it's the only way to make that teenagers future better, because they should have a the right of change who they were for who they want to be.
